This Summer Be a Success Link Leader! Be a Supervisor in the Boston Planning and Development Agency (BPDA) The Boston Planning and Development Agency is seeking fifty plus (50+) seasonal Success Link Leaders to support the Success Link Blue- shirts Summer Jobs Program managed by its Mayor's Office of Workforce Development (OWD), along with Boston Parks & Recreation and Public Works. Under the direction of the Blueshirts Program Director or his/ her designee, this position will supervise and assist youth ages 15-18 outdoors with unskilled manual labor work in various city locations. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Ensuring all youth sign in/out daily Answering questions, assigning tasks and working in collaboration with youth Overseeing daily tasks to ensure work plan is completed Communicating with Regional Supervisors on a daily basis with any questions or issues that arise Assisting with cleaning, sweeping, removal of trash and debris and clearing sidewalks and pathways Coordinating daily tool pick up and drop off at sites Coordinating daily trash and debris pick up Completing assigned projects, and performing related work as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Success Link Leaders must be between the ages of 19-24 with strong oral and written communication skills, particularly with younger youth. Ability to interact effectively with community-based managers to assist in the youth employment program implementation, and strong ability to organize and prioritize work and exercise good judgement with focus on detail. Additional specific qualifications may be needed, depending on the individual work site. The is a temporary summer position. Jobs are available to start immediately, and will end August 14, 2020.
