MGH 1811 RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY The impact of COVID-19 symptoms after hospitalization on daily life experiences of Black and Latinx populations. PURPOSE The purposes of this study are (1) to describe how the severity of COVID-19 Duration of the study symptoms impact the health and daily lives of Black and Latinx people who were disproportionately affected by COVID-19 in the greater Boston area and (2) to understand how these symptoms affect their quality of life. Participants will complete a survey that takes about 45 minutes either by phone or email. Some participants will be invited to participate in interviews to talk about personal experiences with COVID-19 symptoms after the survey. Benefit Eligibility: Adult Black and Latinx (25 and older) patients who were hospitalized with COVID-19 after October 2020. Participating in this study will bring participants the satisfaction of helping researchers collect information to help nurses develop ways to improve quality of life of persons with long-term symptoms. Reside in Boston and surrounding Compensation communities Participants will receive a $10 gift card for participation in the study.
