Invitation to Bid Bids for the Façade and Roof Maintenance/Repairs at Pcoples Baptist Church of Boston, Massachusetts, are requested on or before March 25,2019 by Board of Tnustees Peoples Baptist Church of Boston 830 Tremont Street Boston, Massachusetts 02118 The Trustees of Peoples Baptist Church of Boston request bids for Façade and Roof Maintenance/Repairs to the church building constnucted in 1868 at 134 Camden Street in Boston, Massachusetts. The project is being partially funded with a grant from the Massachusetts Preservation Projects Fund through the Massachusctts Historical Commission. All work must be performed in conformance with the documents prepared by the Thompson&Lichtner Company, Inc., 480 Neponset Street, Unit 11A, Canton, Massachusetts 02021, telephone (617) 492-211, and meet the US Secretary of the Incrior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. State law prohibits discrimination. Awarding of this Contract is subject to Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity guidelines. Bid documents will be available March L 2012 Bid will be opened privately. All bidders are strongly encouraged to visit the site and attend a pre-bid conference and walk through to be held March 5,2012 at Pcoples Baptist Church of Boston, 830 Tremont Street, Boston, Massachusetts, in company with representatives of The Thompson&Lichtner Company, Inc. and Peoples Baptist Church of Boston, who will answer bidders questions conceming the proposed work. Following the walk-through, any subsequent questions must be submitted in writing by the bidders to Tlic Thompson& Lichtner Company, Inc. Answers will be returned in writing to all bidders via email It is the intent of these bid documents that all work shall commencc on April 19,2012 and be complcted on or before June 19,2019 No extensions of time will be allowed by Pcoples Baptist Church of Boston. Bidders mmist submit their proposals on the forms provided in these bid documents. Bidders will submit with their proposals the names of at least five prior jobs of similar type with the names of building owners and/or officers as references. Three of the references must be of similar projects listed on the Sate Register of Historic Places and have been complcted within the past five years. Bids will be valid for a minimum of sixty (60) days from date of opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in the building, and to award the work to other than the low bidder.
