SEEKING CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) is the largest 501(c)3 not for profit community action agency in the country with an annual budget of nearly $200 million. ABCD is seeking an experienced CFO to replace our current CFO who is retiring after 16 years. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Manage finance, accounting, budget, payroll, treasury, and related areas Maintain banking relations and manage cash Manage and design accounting systems and procedures in compliance with State and Federal regulations Oversee all compliance reporting including State and Federal tax filings and Federal, State, and other funding contract requirements Successful completion of the annual audit and issuance of periodic financial reporting for the agency and its subsidiaries Liaison for Finance / Audit Committee REQUIREMENTS: Substantial knowledge and at least 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience in not for profit accounting as well as a working knowledge of Federal and State regulations governing not for profit reporting and compliance with government contracting, especially the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability in financial and cash management and must have excellent communication skills. CPA and/or MBA preferred.
