About
Neighborhood School (NS) is an independent school in Jamaica Plain, MA. Started by parents and teachers with just 7 children in 1986, it has grown to include 60 students at 2 sites with students ages 4-12, grouped into 4 mixed-age classroom or levels. Mixed ages ensure that students have different positions in a level's age continuum from year to year and help create an atmosphere of normalcy for many layers of learning to happen simultaneously.
